Fire crews and police swooped on a Wembley property after a burst pipe flooded the building, blowing the lid on a huge cannabis grow operation worth over £20,000.

The drama unfolded on Harrow Road just after 7pm on Monday. A worried neighbour, stuck footing a hefty repair bill, alerted emergency services when water flooded from above.

Firefighters Break In, Police Seize Plants

Firefighters forced entry and found a sophisticated cannabis farm powered by an illegal electricity setup. Officers seized all the plants and equipment on site, launching a full investigation.

A Met Police spokesman said: “Officers were called by London Fire Brigade to a premises in Harrow Road, Wembley at approximately 6.40pm on Monday, 31 August. A number of cannabis plants were discovered at the property.”

No arrests have been made yet. Police continue to probe the circumstances behind the massive grow-op bust.
