Armed Gang Storms Lee High Road Home in Midnight Raid

The Metropolitan Police are probing a shocking aggravated burglary in Lee High Road in the early hours of Monday, 17 July. Around 4:05 am, a gang armed with weapons broke into a property, sparking a fast police response.

Armed Cops and Helicopter Swarm the Scene

Police, including armed officers and a helicopter unit, rushed to the house after reports of the break-in. While the exact weapons remain undisclosed, officers recovered a firearm. Thankfully, no life-threatening injuries were reported, though two men required hospital treatment for minor wounds.

Five Men Arrested with Guns and Class A Drugs

According to a Met statement, victims were playing cards when the raiders forced entry, stealing cash and jewellery before fleeing. Police caught five men in their 20s nearby, arresting them for possession of a firearm, aggravated burglary, and intent to supply Class A drugs.

Officers found a holdall with a gun and drugs in a parked car, plus another bag with stolen goods. The Flying Squad is leading the investigation. The men remain in police custody as enquiries continue.
