Drivers hit more misery on the A31 after a horror crash brings the westbound carriageway to a standstill near Picket Post.
Crash Chaos Closes Two Lanes
The A31 had only just reopened after an overnight closure when disaster struck again. A three-vehicle smash involving a BMW, Renault Megane, and Skoda has blocked both westbound lanes, leaving three lanes of traffic gridlocked and stationary.
Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
Paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service are treating those involved, while Hampshire Police confirm two reports of minor injuries. Highway officials warn of massive delays stretching all the way back to Junction 2 of the M27.
When Will It Clear?
Highways England estimates the wreckage will be cleared and traffic flow restored by 2pm – but drivers are advised to brace for lengthy delays in the meantime.
