Woman Dies in Suspected Murder Fire in Teddington

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are hunting the truth after a deadly blaze tore through a home in Teddington in the early hours of Wednesday, 22 August.

Firefighters Find 72-Year-Old Woman Dead

Police, London Ambulance Service, and Fire Brigade rushed to a property on Mays Road just after 1am. Inside, they discovered 72-year-old Carole Harrison – sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Carole was a resident of the address and her family has been informed.

Suspect Arrested Over Fatal Fire

A post-mortem at Kingston Mortuary on 23 August did not confirm an official cause of death. Forensic teams are still running tests to uncover what led to the tragedy.

Then, on Saturday, 25 August, a 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. He was taken to a central London police station and later bailed until mid-September. The investigation is ongoing.
