Man in 20s Fighting for Life After Brutal Stabbing in West Hampstead

A man in his twenties is clinging to life following a savage stabbing in West Hampstead yesterday afternoon. Emergency crews discovered him with serious wounds to his neck and leg on Alvanley Gardens, near Finchley Road and Frognal station, at around 4:30pm on January 29.

Police Launch Hunt as Crime Scene Sealed Off

The Met Police confirmed the victim remains in critical condition this morning. Detectives are on the hunt for the attacker who fled the scene and is still at large.

A cordon remains in place on the quiet residential street while officers comb the area for clues. Witnesses and CCTV footage captured a flurry of police cars and ambulances sealing off the scene late into the night.

London’s Air Ambulance Races to Save Victim

Alongside paramedics, London’s Air Ambulance rushed to the scene in a desperate bid to save the injured man. The stabbing shocked local residents, happening just days after a 25-year-old was stabbed during a botched phone robbery in nearby Islington.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “At around 16:30 on Thursday, 29 January, officers responded to reports of a stabbing on Alvanley Gardens, Camden. The victim, a man in his 20s, suffered injuries to his neck and leg and was taken to hospital with life-threatening wounds. No arrests have been made yet. A crime scene remains in place.”
