Heroic Rescue as Man Saved from Burning Farnborough Home
More than 50 firefighters battled a fierce blaze at a Farnborough house, rescuing a man trapped on the roof. The dramatic rescue unfolded on Alexandra Road, sparking a massive emergency response.
Massive Fire Response
- Eight fire engines from Rushmoor, Fleet, Hartley Wintney, and Surrey arrived on scene.
- An aerial ladder platform was deployed to reach the man stranded on the roof.
- Fire crews battled flames using 18 breathing apparatus sets, five water jets, and tactical ventilation.
Man Saved From Roof
The brave firefighters used a towering 135-metre ladder to rescue the man. He was quickly handed over to South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) for immediate care.
Blaze Details and Investigation
The fire engulfed the first floor and roof space of the three-storey semi-detached property, which had been converted into bedsits. Firefighters brought the blaze under control by 3:50pm.
A joint investigation by fire and police teams is now underway to determine the cause of the fire.
