Chaos on Marsh Wall: Met Police Probe After Shocking Video Goes Viral
Disturbance Caught on Camera
The Met Police have launched a deep investigation into a string of incidents on Marsh Wall, E14, after a video surfaced online showing a man entering a property while trailed by a group of men on the street.
Officers were called at 6.07pm on 13 August when the man was seen entering through an open door. Despite the drama, police say the individual has not been arrested as their initial probe has found no offences committed.
“We understand this is distressing for the occupants,” said a Met Police spokesperson. “We are reviewing Body Worn Video and other footage to understand exactly what happened.”
Arrests Made Amid Rising Tensions
The fallout from the chaos saw a 22-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of:
- Common assault on a security guard
- Possession of an offensive weapon
- Affray
- Possession of Class B drugs
- Assault on an emergency worker
Meanwhile, a Section 35 dispersal order was enforced in the area, with a 28-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman arrested for breaching it.
Separate Incident Under Scrutiny
Police are also investigating a second, linked incident where the same man allegedly tried to enter another nearby development. This remains part of their ongoing enquiries.
Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
The Met are appealing for anyone with information or video footage to step forward. Witnesses can call 101 quoting CAD 7590/13August or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
