Murder probe launched after 20-year-old stabbed to death in Mile End, east London.
Fatal Stabbing in Mile End
Police were called to Pickard Gardens at around 1:30pm on Wednesday, April 30, following reports of a stabbing. Despite rapid response from the London Ambulance and Air Ambulance services, the 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Teenager Arrested After Bloody Incident
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder after receiving hospital treatment for his injuries. He remains in police custody. Initially, three people were detained — including a 25-year-old woman and a 41-year-old woman. Both women have since been released without further action. The 25-year-old woman was taken to hospital; her condition remains unknown.
Police Urge Public to Come Forward
Commander James Conway, overseeing policing in Tower Hamlets and Hackney, said: “This was a tragic incident with a devastating impact on the family involved. Our thoughts are with those affected. We believe those arrested and injured were all known to the victim. Local officers, supported by Tower Hamlets Council, will be present to provide reassurance.”
