Late-Night Attack at Mu Mu Nightclub Leaves Man in Hospital
Man Assaulted Upstairs at Packed Venue
Chaos erupted at Mu Mu on Week Street between 11pm and 11.30pm on Saturday 25 March 2023. A man in his 30s was relaxing on a sofa in the upstairs area when a stranger approached him and reportedly launched an unprovoked assault. The victim suffered facial injuries and later needed hospital treatment.
Suspect and Associates Flee the Scene
The attacker bolted from the premises alongside two associates. He is described as white, average build, about 5ft 7in, with dark hair, and was wearing a dark polo shirt.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Investigating officer PC Ben Cox urged anyone who was at the nightclub to come forward. “There were a large number of people in the nightclub at the time,” he said. “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us.”
