Stolen Land Rover Discovery Nabs Two in Tunbridge Wells Sting

Police caught two men red-handed after spotting a suspicious Land Rover Discovery in Tunbridge Wells. The unmarked patrol car clocked the vehicle at around 7.45pm on Monday, 20 February 2023, on Sword Street.

False Plates and Stolen Ride

The Land Rover was rolling with false licence plates. Officers quickly confirmed it was stolen from Lewisham earlier this month. A thorough search turned up a stash of suspected class A drugs inside the vehicle.

Two Arrested on Multiple Charges

  • The driver, an 18-year-old from Cranbrook, was hauled in and faces charges including theft, possession of class A drugs with intent to supply, driving without insurance, and driving without a licence.
  • His passenger, a 26-year-old from Paddock Wood, was also detained on suspicion of theft, with both men arrested.

Thanks to sharp police work, two alleged criminals are off the streets and facing serious charges.
