Stabbing and Hit-and-Run Shocks Chislehurst
Chaos hit Chislehurst on Friday night as police scrambled to two serious incidents just minutes apart.
Two Men Stabbed in Belmont Road Brawl
At 8.52pm, officers were called to Belmont Road after reports of men fighting. Two men were found with stab wounds and rushed to hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Pedestrian Killed in Van Hit-and-Run Near Slades Drive
Just two minutes later, at 8.54pm, police were alerted to a collision involving a van and a man in his thirties near Slades Drive. The pedestrian died at the scene. Shockingly, the van fled but was found abandoned nearby.
Police Link the Two Incidents, No Arrests Yet
Investigations are at an early stage, but officers believe the stabbing and hit-and-run are connected. Extensive road closures and cordons remain in place as enquiries continue.
