Man Tries to Rob Passenger on District Line Train

Shortly after 8pm on 20 May, a man made a brazen attempt to rob a passenger on a District line train between Notting Hill Gate and Wimbledon stations.

Suspect Caught but Turns Violent

The 52-year-old suspect was quickly identified and arrested. During his arrest, he assaulted an officer and hurled racial abuse at another.

He’s now released under investigation while police dig deeper into the case.

Police Hunt Key Witness

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened—especially a woman who pointed out the man at Wimbledon station.
