Police Probe Spate of Sexual Attacks in Penge

Detectives are hunting a lone attacker behind six shocking sexual assaults in Penge, South East London. The spree began on 9 February, with each victim a woman targeted and assaulted before the culprit bolted.

Six Attacks in Three Weeks

  • 9 Feb – High Street, SE20
  • 15 Feb – Penge East Station, SE20
  • 16 Feb – Evelina Road, SE20
  • 20 Feb – Royston Road, SE20
  • 23 Feb – Clevedon Road, SE20
  • 28 Feb – Franklin Road, SE20

Thankfully, none of the victims suffered physical injuries during the assaults, but police remain on high alert as the attacker is still at large.

14-Year-Old Boy Arrested and Released

A 14-year-old boy was arrested on 4 March in connection with the attacks but has since been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
