Serious Crash on the A30 Near Bodmin
Emergency services scrambled just before 12.20pm on Wednesday, 26 October, after a two-vehicle smash on the eastbound A30 near Minzies, close to Bodmin.
Man in His 90s Airlifted After Collision with Recovery Vehicle
The collision involved a red Vauxhall Agila and a Renault recovery truck. The Agila’s driver, a man in his 90s, was rushed to hospital by air ambulance with suspected life-threatening injuries.
Road closures were quickly set up while police and paramedics worked at the scene.
Blackpool Man Arrested Over Dangerous Driving
Police arrested a 62-year-old man from Blackpool on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has since been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers from Roads Policing and Serious Investigation units are probing the crash details. Police are urging anyone who saw the smash or has useful info to come forward.
