Royal Mail Worker Killed in Horror A2 Crash

A Royal Mail driver died in a gruesome crash on a major Kent road early Thursday morning. The man, in his 30s, was on his way to the Dartford mail centre when tragedy struck.

Lorry Driver Crushed Inside Cab

The Royal Mail rigid lorry smashed into the back of an HGV after the bigger lorry braked suddenly to avoid a red Citroen. The impact crushed the driver inside his cab.

Despite rapid response from the Kent and Sussex air ambulance’s Flying Doctor, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A2 Coastbound Lane Shut for Hours

The A2 coastbound near Darenth has been closed for nearly 10 hours while specialists carry out a full investigation. Kent Police were called at around 4.20am on Thursday 28 May 2020 to the collision involving two lorries and a car.

The carriageway remains shut near the Dartford Heath junction. Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service, and Kent Fire and Rescue Service teams are still working at the scene.
