Cambridgeshire Zoo Evacuated After Tiger Attacks Keeper
A serious incident sparked chaos at Hamerton Wildlife Park near Huntingdon this Monday morning. Police and emergency crews rushed to the scene after reports that a tiger had attacked a keeper around 11:15am.
Visitors Evacuated, Tiger Not on the Loose
Staff quickly ushered visitors away from the park. Despite social media rumours, a spokeswoman confirmed no tiger escaped its enclosure. “No animals have escaped, and the public are safe,” said a Cambridgeshire Police spokesman.
Emergency Teams Respond to Incident
Officers, ambulance crews, and the MAGPAS air ambulance all attended the scene at Steeple Gidding. Police are currently tight-lipped, with limited details available on the keeper’s condition or the exact nature of the incident.
