Sailor Injured Aboard Vessel at Cowes
Emergency services rushed to Trinity Landing, Cowes, late Sunday after a sailor was hurt aboard a sailing vessel. A quick call to the coastguard sparked a swift rescue operation.
Coastguard and Ambulance Join Forces
The Needles Coastguard Search and Rescue team teamed up with the Isle of Wight ambulance service to get the injured sailor safely off the boat. He was carefully stretchered from the vessel to waiting medical aid.
Hospital Treatment for Injured Sailor
After the rescue, the man was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport for urgent treatment. The full extent of his injuries has not been disclosed.
