Worry Grows for Missing Man Last Seen in Walthamstow Park
Sydney Piper, 69, vanished without a trace after entering Lloyds Park, Walthamstow, at around 11:50am on Thursday, 23 February. He was spotted entering via the Forest Road entrance but hasn’t been seen since.
Police Describe What Sydney Was Wearing
Sydney stands 5ft 7ins tall, slim build, with a grey beard and short black hair. On the day he disappeared, he wore a long black coat, grey T-shirt, grey trousers, and black slippers.
Detective Sounds Alarm Over ‘Out of Character’ Disappearance
Detective Inspector Jo Watts, North-East London Missing Person Unit: “Sydney’s disappearance is out of character and we are increasingly concerned for his welfare. He is not believed to have any money or an Oyster card. We haven’t had a single confirmed sighting for over two weeks.”
Specialist officers have scoured Lloyds Park and are collecting CCTV footage. Police urge anyone visiting the park recently to come forward if they spotted Sydney.
