Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Horror A3 Crash – Police Hunt Witnesses
Surrey Police are on the lookout for witnesses after a motorcyclist was found injured on the A3 southbound near Milford this afternoon.
Serious crash shuts A3 southbound
Officers were called to the scene around 4.30pm, just half a mile north of Milford. They discovered the motorcyclist lying in the road with serious injuries. An air ambulance rushed him to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
The A3 southbound has been closed since the incident, with the northbound side temporarily shut to allow the air ambulance to land. Southbound closures could last well into the evening, causing major delays.
Road users warned to expect delays – here’s the diversion
Drivers are urged to avoid the A3 southbound and instead use the A31 towards Farnham, then the A325, before rejoining the A3 at Longmoor. Police thank the public for their patience while emergency teams work to clear the scene.
Police launch urgent appeal for witnesses
Detectives want to hear from anyone who saw the motorcyclist crash or was driving along the A3 southbound between Guildford and Milford from 4.15pm to 4.30pm today. Dashcam footage from that time could prove crucial.
“Anyone with any information, no matter how small, is urged to call Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference PR/P18045696,” police said.
