Massive Blaze Tears Through Dartford Recycling Plant

A huge fire ripped through a recycling plant at Pinden Quarry, Green Street Green Road, near Dartford, Kent. Kent Fire and Rescue Service scrambled six fire engines, a height vehicle, their Technical Rescue Unit, and a bulk water carrier to battle the inferno.

Firefighters Battle Blazing Heat with Heavy-Duty Tactics

Braving punishing conditions, firefighters unleashed a range of powerful weapons to douse the flames. They deployed main jets, a compressed air foam system, and a height vehicle armed with wetting agents. Fire breaks were also created to contain the blaze.

Night Vigil and Volunteer Support Prevent Rekindle

After finally putting out the fire, crews stayed on-site overnight to stop any chance of the flames flaring up again. The Kent Fire and Rescue Service Volunteer Response Team was on hand to support firefighters’ well-being during the gruelling operation.

200 Tonnes of Recycling Lost, Cause Unknown

The monstrous blaze destroyed around 200 tonnes of recycling material. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
