Crash chaos at Blackwater! Two vehicles collided this afternoon on Blackwater Road, between Arreton and Newport. Emergency crews rushed to the scene near Wight Building Materials after a white 1 A1 left the road following a smash with a Ford.
Armed response and roads policing officers quickly sealed off the road in both directions, causing major disruption.
Drivers checked but no serious injuries
Paramedics from Island Ambulance Service attended to both drivers. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported.

The Southern Vectis number two bus service took a hit as the road remained shut for emergency work.
