A Domino’s pizza delivery rider is fighting for his life after smashing into a wall in a serious early morning crash on the Isle of Wight.

Road Locked Down for Forensic Investigation

The A3054 road between Sandown and Shanklin was plunged into lockdown as police launched a full forensic collision probe. The rider’s bike was left in a mangled heap in the middle of the road, drawing the attention of collision specialists.

Life-Changing Crash at 3am

The smash happened just after 3am on Saturday. Paramedics rushed the injured motorcyclist to St Mary’s Hospital before he was urgently airlifted to Southampton’s specialist neurological trauma centre.

Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Officers are hunting for clues and want to know if another vehicle was involved. Road closures stayed in place until at least 8am, before the lockdown was lifted. Hampshire Constabulary have urged anyone with dashcam footage of the crash to call 101.
