Barking and Dagenham Flooded with Disruption After Major Burst Water Pipe

A major water pipe has burst on Choats Manor Way, forcing the road to shut both ways, Barking and Dagenham Council confirmed just after midday on July 12.

Water Woes Hit Dagenham and Rainham Homes

Essex and Suffolk Water warned locals of “water disruption” affecting parts of Dagenham and Rainham. Residents faced low water pressure or no water at all amid a scorching day hitting over 30°C across London.

Repair Work Underway, But Problems to Persist

At 2pm, Essex and Suffolk Water said:

“We are working hard to resolve a supply issue in your area which will continue throughout the day. You may notice intermittent interruptions to your supply, low pressure or no water. An update will be provided once this is complete. Thanks for your continued patience.”

Drivers Urged to Avoid Choats Manor Way

The council urged drivers to take alternative routes while repairs are carried out.

Disruptions impact the following postcodes: RM9, IG11, DA8, SE28, RM13, RM19, E6, RM8, RM10, RM12, RM14, DA17, and RM15.
