Brave Rescue on Isle of Wight After 11-Year-Old Falls From Height

Emergency services rushed to a dramatic late-night rescue after an eleven-year-old suffered a fall from height on the Isle of Wight.

Firefighters and Paramedics Team Up

Just after midnight on Saturday, August 4, a co-responder from Freshwater Fire Station was dispatched to an address on School Green Road, Freshwater. The tricky location and complicated terrain meant paramedics needed extra help.

Fire crews sprang into action, using a salvage sheet to safely move the injured child to the waiting ambulance.

Child Taken to Hospital for Treatment

The youngster was swiftly transported to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport for urgent medical care.
