Water Woes Hit Kilndown, Hawkhurst, Sandhurst, and Northiam

South East Water has apologised to customers facing low or no water pressure across Kilndown, Hawkhurst, Sandhurst, and Northiam. Trouble struck early Sunday when a key water pumping station was forced to shut down due to a fault at the treatment plant.

Experts Race to Fix the Crisis

From the crack of dawn, expert technicians have been on site battling to fix the issue and restore water supplies. Sadly, treated drinking water levels have plummeted, leaving many homes affected.

Support for Vulnerable Customers

South East Water activated its free Priority Services Register to help the most vulnerable customers during the outage. Staff have been delivering bottled water directly to registered homes.

On Sunday morning, two bottled water distribution points opened, handing out supplies to those impacted. These stations will reopen tomorrow morning if the problem persists.
