Two Palestinian Teens Killed in West Bank Clashes

Violence erupts again in the occupied West Bank as two Palestinian teenagers were shot dead by Israeli forces on Friday. The deadly confrontations have pushed tensions to boiling point in an already volatile region.

17-Year-Old Shot in Head During Ramallah Unrest

The first victim, 17-year-old Muhammad Fouad Atta al-Bayed, was struck in the head amid clashes in the village of Umm Safa near Ramallah. He was rushed to Istishari Arab Hospital but tragically died from his wounds. Israeli troops reportedly used live ammunition, tear gas, and stun grenades during the skirmishes.

The Israeli army claims a border police officer opened fire after masked Palestinians threw stones, rocks, and explosives at the forces. They confirmed a gunshot hit but gave no further details, insisting the soldier’s response targeted a bomb-thrower amidst the chaos.

Another Dead and Wounded in Nablus

Later that day, violence flared again in the Nablus governorate. One person was killed and another seriously injured, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent. Details remain scarce, but the bloodshed adds to a grim tally of ongoing violence.

Rising Death Toll Amid Unrelenting West Bank Raids

This year alone, 202 Palestinians have lost their lives in the occupied territories, with 165 deaths in the West Bank. Disturbingly, 31 were minors. The brutal raids have intensified under Israel’s far-right government, which took office earlier this year and includes hardline settler leaders pushing to expand illegal settlements on Palestinian land.

Just weeks ago in Umm Safa, 24-year-old Abdel-Jawad Hamdan Saleh was fatally shot in a demonstration. Last month, settlers went on a violent rampage in the village, torching vehicles and homes after four settlers were killed at a petrol station between Ramallah and Nablus.

The region remains on edge as the deadly cycle of attacks and retaliation shows no sign of easing.
