Man Goes Missing Near Marden Station – Police Urge Public to Help
Disappearance Sparks Urgent Search
Nicholas French vanished late on Thursday, 3 November 2022. The 50-year-old failed to return home after telling relatives he was walking from Marden train station along Goudhurst Road. He was reported missing at 9.11pm.
What He Was Wearing
Nicholas stands about 5ft 10in, with a stocky but slight build. He has short grey hair and a beard. When last seen near a takeaway next to the station, he wore a suit, a dark coat, and carried a rucksack.
Urgent Concern Over Flooding
Inspector Suzy McDonnell said: “We are very concerned for this man’s welfare as there is considerable flooding on local roads, which he may have tried to avoid by walking along footpaths or across fields.”
Emergency services are combing the Marden area. Anyone who has spotted Nicholas or knows his whereabouts is urged to call 999, quoting reference 3-1344.
