Urgent Search Underway for Missing Woman in North Wales

North Wales Police are growing increasingly worried about 39-year-old Lucy Charles, who vanished two weeks ago from the Bangor-on-Dee area in Wrexham. She was last spotted on December 22, and some of her belongings were found along the River Dee near the Severn Trent Water Treatment Works.

Last Known Sighting: CCTV Catches Lucy Near Royal Oak Pub

Lucy is described as around 5ft 6in tall, with shoulder-length brown hair and glasses. CCTV footage shows her walking past the Royal Oak pub on Station Road at 5:34pm on the day she disappeared. She wore a navy padded coat, a hi-vis vest, khaki leggings, and black boots.

Police Issue Warning Over Dangerous Flood Waters

Chief Inspector Stephen Roberts highlighted the difficulty of searching in the harsh winter conditions, especially during the festive period. He thanked those helping despite the challenging weather and dangerous river conditions.

Authorities have warned the public to stay away from the River Dee due to severe flooding, describing it as “very dangerous.”

Police Plea: Help Find Lucy

“Our searches continue, and Lucy’s family are being kept informed,” said Chief Inspector Roberts. “My thoughts remain with her loved ones at this difficult time.”

North Wales Police urge anyone who was in the Bangor-on-Dee area around late December or who might have seen Lucy to come forward immediately. They stress the importance of any information that could help locate Lucy and ensure her safety.
