Urgent Search Underway for Missing 12-Year-Old in Sussex
A major search is currently underway in Sussex after 12-year-old Richard Phorrington vanished from Shoreham last night.
Massive Search Effort Mobilised
Sussex Police have deployed a police helicopter and ground units, teamed up with the Coastguard, Shoreham RNLI inshore lifeboat, and Sussex Search and Rescue. They are scouring a wide area around Adur, desperate to find any sign of the missing boy.
Last Seen Leaving Home After 7.30pm
According to 1, Richard was last spotted leaving his home at 7:30pm on Monday, January 16, and hasn’t been seen since.
Richard is slim, approximately 5’3” tall. He was wearing a long black jacket with a hood, dark jeans, black socks—and crucially—no shoes.
“It is likely Richard is carrying a torch,” police added.
