Serious Collision Shuts Redlands Lane in Fareham After Pedestrian Hit

Redlands Lane in Fareham was slammed shut tonight after a pedestrian was struck by a car in a serious collision. The Havant-based Hampshire Roads Policing unit closed the road hard following multiple emergency calls just after 5pm on Sunday.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene Near Shops

Police, paramedics from the South Central Ambulance Service, and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance all responded swiftly. Specialist collision investigators were also called in to probe the crash near the parade of local shops.

Reports suggest the pedestrian’s injuries could be life-changing. Officers have cordoned off Redlands Lane from the junction of Wallisdean Avenue to Avenue Road as they work on the scene.

Drivers Urged to Avoid the Area

Police warn closures will remain in place for some time, urging drivers to steer clear of the area. Locals at St John’s Church, close to the crash site, said:
