A serious motorcycle crash has brought the Dartford Crossing to a standstill, triggering massive delays on the M25 both ways. The smash happened this afternoon, October 30, between Junction 1B for A296 Princes Road in Dartford and Junction 2 for A2 at the Darenth Interchange.
Major Traffic Snarl-up as Both Carriageways Closed
Kent Police were called to the scene around 2:23pm on the clockwise carriageway. A police spokesperson said, “Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service are at the scene where both carriageways are currently closed. The air ambulance is also in attendance, and motorists should plan their journeys accordingly.”
Though no injuries have yet been confirmed, the traffic chaos is intense, stretching north to Junction 30 (Lakeside/Tilbury) and south to Junction 3 (M20 Swanley interchange). By 4:11pm, northbound lanes reopened, but southbound remains shut.
