Blaze Rips Through Carpentry Workshop in Late-Night Fire
A fierce fire tore through a mid-terraced carpentry workshop in an industrial unit, sparking fears of explosions due to several gas and adhesive cylinders inside. Fire crews acted fast, cooling seven cylinders to room temperature before safely removing them.
Quick Response Stops Disaster
The alarm was raised at 11.35 p.m., with fire teams from Forest Hill, Beckenham, Lewisham, Bromley, and West Norwood rushing to the scene. By 1.15 a.m., the flames were under control and extinguished. Thanks to the quick action, no injuries were reported.
Cause Likely Faulty Ventilation System
Investigators believe the blaze started accidentally, linked to the building’s ventilation system. Thankfully, experts contained the situation before it could escalate into a major catastrophe.
