Horrific crash in Wiltshire leaves 18-year-old woman fighting for her life after Ford Mondeo smashes into wall just after 1am.
Passenger Seriously Injured in Deadly Smash
Emergency services rushed to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on the A361 in Wiltshire early this morning. A Ford Mondeo collided with a wall shortly after 1am, leaving an 18-year-old female passenger with life-threatening injuries.
She was rushed to hospital by ambulance, and her next of kin have been informed.
Driver Arrested Over Dangerous Driving and More
The 18-year-old male driver was arrested at the scene. He faces multiple charges including:
- Causing serious injury by dangerous driving
- Aggravated taking of a vehicle without consent
- Driving over the alcohol limit
- Driving over the drug limit
He remains in custody at Gablecross Police Station.
Major Road Closure Causes Chaos
The A361 is closed between Supermarine and Highworth roundabouts, including Shrivenham Road. Authorities warn the road will stay shut for most of this morning as they investigate the crash.
