Our hearts are shattered. Tom, a cherished son, brother, and uncle, was tragically taken from us on Friday, 30 July, in a road traffic accident in Haslemere.
From Düsseldorf to Surrey: A Life Well Lived
Born in Düsseldorf, Germany, Tom moved to London with his family at the age of six. He attended Fernden Prep School and later Pierrepont School in Frensham. A proud graduate, Tom earned a master’s degree from London University and worked in the capital before returning to Surrey a decade ago.
Dedicated Teacher and Film Buff
Tom spent recent years teaching German at the Ministry of Defence Academy in Oxfordshire. He loved working with eager students in a friendly, supportive environment.
Outside of work, Tom enjoyed long walks around Haslemere with his partner Stephanie and their dog Jasper. He was also a keen film enthusiast, boasting a collection of over a thousand movies.
A Man with a Big Heart
Known for his generosity, Tom was always quick to help friends, neighbours, and even strangers. He leaves behind his mother, two brothers, six nieces and nephews, and his devoted partner Stephanie.
