M25 Shut Both Ways in Surrey After Lorry Flips and Catches Fire
The M25 is completely closed in both directions between Junction 6 (Godstone) and Junction 7 (M23) following a lorry crash that left the vehicle overturned and ablaze.

Fire and Rescue teams are at the scene working to put out the flames from the overturned lorry. The incident has caused major disruption for drivers on one of the UK’s busiest motorways.
Massive Diversions In Place – Follow Signs
Motorists are being rerouted with clear diversion routes in place:
- Clockwise: Follow the hollow triangle symbol.
- Exit the M25 at Junction 6, Godstone Interchange.
- Take the 4th exit onto A22 towards Croydon.
- At Purley Cross (A22/A23 junction), turn left onto A23 heading south towards Brighton.
- Pass through Coulsdon, then continue to M23 Junction 8 / M25 Junction 7.
- Rejoin the M25 towards Heathrow.
- Anti-clockwise: Follow the hollow square symbol.
- Exit the M25 at Junction 8.
- Take the 3rd exit onto A217 heading south.
- At Reigate, follow A25 towards Redhill.
- At the A25/A23 roundabout in Redhill, turn right onto A23 towards Gatwick.
- Next roundabout, turn left onto A25 towards Godstone.
- Pass through Godstone and go straight at the mini roundabout.
- Rejoin the M25 at Junction 6, Godstone Interchange.
