Vinnie Jones Swaps Screen Grit for West End Glitz in Only Fools and Horses

Hollywood tough guy and ex-football pro Vinnie Jones is turning heads once again—this time on the West End stage. Famous for iconic roles in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Mean Machine, and The Gentlemen, Jones is ditching his hardman persona for a spot in the smash-hit musical Only Fools and Horses.

New Role, Same Toughness

Jones is stepping into the shoes of Danny Driscoll, an iconic character from the beloved TV show turned musical. He’s sharing the stage with comedy legend Paul Whitehouse as Grandad, along with stars Sam Lupton, Tom Major, Georgina Hagen, and Craig Berry.

“I’ve always been a fan of Only Fools and Horses,” Jones said. “When my longtime friend Phil McIntyre called me about playing Danny Driscoll, I told him to count me in. The director CJay Ranger and her team are brilliant, and I’m excited to be part of the show’s legacy.”

From London to Nationwide Tour

Catch Vinnie lighting up London’s West End this December into January, before the show embarks on a mega UK tour. The nationwide run kicks off in Bromley this September and will hit more than 30 towns and cities, wrapping up with a grand finale in Dublin in June 2025.

Classic Comedy Hits the Stage

Only Fools and Horses brings John Sullivan’s legendary sitcom to life with brand-new scripts and songs penned by Sullivan’s son, Jim, alongside Paul Whitehouse. Directed by Caroline Jay Ranger, the production has won rave reviews since its West End debut.

The musical follows Del Boy’s romantic quests, Rodney’s wedding plans, and Grandad’s battle with health issues, packing in punchy laughs, nostalgia, and all the cheeky cheek fans adore.

Tickets are on sale now for Vinnie Jones’ West End debut—don’t miss your chance to see the hardman-turned-thespian bring Danny Driscoll to life with a fresh dose of toughness and humour.
