Vulnerable Man Missing in Wandsworth – Family and Police Desperate for Help
A vulnerable man who needs medication and won’t talk to strangers has vanished from Wandsworth.
Last Seen Near Hyde Park Corner After Museum Visit
Mazhar Ahmad, 58, was last spotted at Hyde Park Corner at 5.38pm on Thursday, June 6. He had been visiting the Natural History Museum with his father but disappeared after they left.
His dad last saw him outside the museum, heading toward Knightsbridge. Police say Mazhar is vulnerable and dependent on mental health medication — which he does not have with him.
Communication Barriers Raise Alarm
Mazhar speaks very little English and refuses to engage with strangers. This makes it hard for him to ask for help and has police worried he may be lost or unwell.
On previous occasions, Mazhar has walked up to 20 miles when missing, so he could be anywhere in a nearby borough or even outside London.
What He Was Wearing and How He Looks
- Medium build
- Short dark hair
- Wearing jumper, black trousers, white shoes, and brown cap
Police have released a photo showing him in the jumper for public recognition.
Family and Police Plead for Information
Mazhar’s family and the police are extremely worried for his safety. If you have any information or have seen him, contact police on 101, quoting reference 6868/06JUN24.
