Residents in Adisham, Ash, Aylesham, Bekesbourne, Bridge, Wingham, Ramsgate, and Monkton have all reported either losing their water supply or battling painfully low water pressure. Southern Water has confirmed the problems link directly to ongoing technical issues at their facility.
Southern Water Acts Fast with Bottled Water Deliveries
Southern Water has kicked off bottled water deliveries for vulnerable customers registered on their priority services list. The company apologised for the disruption, saying:
“Our teams are continuing to work to resolve issues at Wingham Water Supply Works. We’re sorry customers may be experiencing a loss of supply or low pressure due to technical issues at our supply works.”
The root cause? Complications in water treatment caused by high turbidity, making it tougher to clean and send water out properly.
