Wiltshire Police’s equestrian ace rides to victory! The force’s equestrian team stormed back from the Forces Equine Championships over the bank holiday weekend at Weston Lawns Equestrian Centre in Bedworth.
Hollie Clark’s Rosette Racking Ride
Individually representing Wiltshire Police, Hollie Clark rode two horses and bagged a stunning haul of rosettes, championship sashes, and four winners’ rugs. Her efforts helped secure team wins in both mixed police and inter-agency events.
Day One: Double Wins and Strong Placings
- Maesmynach Heliwr (Hunter) soared to victory in the 85cm qualifier and clinched 4th place in the 95cm showjumping class.
- Her other mount, Corgary Shadow (Alice), dominated the 1.05m and 1.10m qualifiers with top wins.
Day Two: Champion and Consistent Performance
- Maesmynach Heliwr went on to claim the 85cm Championship crown.
- Corgary Shadow finished a solid 5th in the 1.05m Championship, rounding off a consistently strong weekend.
Team Glory Across Forces
Alongside riders from Kent, Metropolitan, Suffolk, and Durham Police, Hollie helped Wiltshire bag:
- The Mixed Police Team event (with Kent and Met Police)
- The overall Police vs Prison section, securing the top four cumulative results across the competition
Hollie on Her Triumph
“I’m really proud of both horses’ performances – they really stepped up to the occasion. The courses were technical and asked a few questions, so I had to ride quickly and accurately to secure those placings.”
Hollie noted the friendly yet fiercely competitive atmosphere, with serving and non-serving police officers, plus family members, all tackling the challenges.
Police Praise for Equestrian Excellence
“Hollie and her horses represented Wiltshire with distinction. Her dedication and skill embody the values of the Force, and we’re thrilled to see her success on a national stage.”
Wiltshire Police’s equestrian team has truly put their best hoof forward, proving you don’t need to be on patrol to bring home the gold!
