We only saw her in the garden two days ago and I offered to get some things for her in town. Many are shocked at the former junior school teacher named locally as Mary Steele who has a son and a daughter who lived locally. Police remain in the Cul-du-sac where everyone helps everyone. Scene of crime officers dressed in paper suits are seen entering the two bedroom bungalow that is cake in a lot of blood a police source has revealed. It is understood that the woman in her 80’s was stabbed a number of time with a knife. A man remain in custody after being taken to hospital after it is understood that he attempted to also take his own life.

A woman was found at the address with a serious injury. She was treated at the scene by paramedics but was sadly pronounced dead around 10.10am. A man, who was at the same address when police arrived, was also injured. He has been arrested and taken to hospital.
