The words of shocked neighbours who are trying to come to terms of why and for what reason their friend over over ten year was killed. We only saw her in the garden two days ago and I offered to get some things for her in town. Many are shocked at the former junior school teacher named locally as Mary Steele who has a son and a daughter who lived locally. Police remain in the Cul-du-sac where everyone helps everyone. Scene of crime officers dressed in paper suits are seen entering the two bedroom bungalow that is cake in a lot of blood a police source has revealed. It is understood that the woman in her 80’s was stabbed a number of time with a knife. A man remain in custody after being taken to hospital after it is understood that he attempted to also take his own life.

A woman was found at the address with a serious injury. She was treated at the scene by paramedics but was sadly pronounced dead around 10.10am. A man, who was at the same address when police arrived, was also injured. He has been arrested and taken to hospital.
