Man arrested after vehicle Pursuit by Police
A suspected car thief was taken into custody following a police pursuit in Medway. The arrest was made after a car that had been reported stolen was spotted by officers in the Richmond Road area of Gillingham, shortly before 7.55pm on Saturday 4 August 2018. Following a short pursuit the vehicle was brought to a stop in Boundary Road, Chatham, where damage was caused to a police car and a number of other parked vehicles. No serious injuries were reported. A 33-year-old man from Maidstone was arrested at the scene on suspicion of theft and dangerous driving. He remains in custody pending further enquiries.
