Man runs off after sexually assaulting girl walking dog in Waterlooville woods

Hampshire police are hunting a man who sexually assaulted a teenage girl in Queens Inclosure Woods, Waterlooville.

Attack in broad daylight

The shocking incident happened at around 2.20pm on Monday, August 6. The girl was walking her dog when a stranger approached her. The man started talking, then followed her persistently, asking for her phone number.

He then hugged the girl and inappropriately touched her over her clothes before fleeing when other dog walkers appeared.

Sightings and description

  • Asian male, around 18 years old
  • Slim build, approximately 5ft 6ins tall
  • Long, big nose (not wide)
  • No facial hair
  • Wearing dark blue jeans and a burgundy top

Police appeal for witnesses

PC Christopher Young said: “We know there were other dog walkers in the area at the time which caused the man to run off. We’re urging anyone who was walking their dog or saw a man matching this description to come forward.”
