Armed police detain woman with a knife in Southampton
An Armed response unit was deployed with less lethal emphasis to assist other officers in the city of Southampton this afternoon we can reveal. Armed police were called to help detain a female who was spotted armed with a knife in the St Mary’s area of the city. The highly trained officers from Winchester safely resolved the incident with no injuries. A woman has been detained for an offence of possession of a bladed article in a public place. She remains in custody at Southampton central police station awaiting questioning.
