Yaverland beach on lockdown following concern for

Officers from Hampshire constabulary have locked down Yaverland beach following a concern for a persons welfare. Armed response officers and response officers along with the NPAS helicopter have spent the past two hours searching for a man whom they had concerns for on the Isle of Wight. A massive air and land search was carried out after a call was made to police about the mans state of mind. Two patrol cars remain in the Yaverland car park whilst officers speak to the man who in sat on wall near the slip way. Members of the public are being asked to keep a distance whilst officers engage with male. Officers have spent time with male who dressed in a blue hoodie and he has agreed to go with officers.
