M25 Shut Anti-Clockwise in Herts After Serious Crash

The M25 is closed anti-clockwise between Junction 18 (near Chorley Wood) and Junction 17 (Mill End) following a major collision. Hertfordshire Police, emergency crews, and Highways England officers are at the scene handling the incident.

Follow the “Hollow Square” Diversion

Drivers are urged to follow the “Hollow Square” diversion route to avoid the closure. Here’s the quick guide:

  1. Exit M25 at Junction 18 and turn left onto the A404 towards Rickmansworth.
  2. At the first roundabout (A404/A412), take the 2nd exit onto A412 heading for Slough.
  3. At the second A404/A412 roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A412 towards Slough.
  4. At Maple Cross Roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the link road towards the M25.
  5. At M25 Junction 17 roundabout, take the 1st exit to rejoin the M25 towards Heathrow.

Expect Delays – Plan Ahead

Motors should allow plenty of extra time for their journeys through this area. The closure is causing heavy disruption and delays.
