Gosport man arrested over Titchfield fatal hit and run

Officers investigating a fatal collision in Titchfield have made an arrest. It took place on the A27 Southampton Road, shortly before 6pm on Friday 24 May. A 40-year-old man from Fareham was pronounced dead at the scene. A 47-year-old man from Gosport has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop and failing to report an accident. The man has now been released from custody but remains under investigation. Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting Operation Shetland.
