Teen Girl Wields Kitchen Knife in Broad Daylight Shop Robbery
A teenage girl, no older than 14, sparked a police probe after trying to rob a convenience store in broad daylight – armed with a big kitchen knife.
Knife-Wielding Teens Strike at Ryde Shop
The uniformed teen burst into Duffetts Stores in Ryde just before 1pm on Monday, brandishing the knife from a white bag and demanding cash. But the quick-thinking female shop worker stood her ground and refused to hand over any money.
Frustrated, the girl fled empty-handed, leaving staff and customers rattled.
Police Launch Investigation, Appeal for Witnesses
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson confirmed: “Officers are investigating after a girl, described as being in her teens, entered Duffetts Stores on John Street. She demanded staff give her money while holding a knife. Staff did not give her money, and she fled empty-handed.”
