Detectives are hunting for witnesses after a shocking hit-and-run in Chessington left a 25-year-old man dead.

Driver Flees Scene After Fatal Collision

Just after midnight on Friday, 26 July, police were called to Moor Lane where a car struck the man. The driver failed to stop, dragging the victim under the vehicle for some distance before speeding off.

Man Pronounced Dead, Investigation Underway

Emergency crews attended the scene, but the man was pronounced dead at Moor Lane. Police say they believe they know his identity and next of kin have been informed. A formal identification and post-mortem exam are planned.
