Police Hunt Brothers Over Shocking 39-Dead Lorry Tragedy
Two Men Wanted for Manslaughter & Human Trafficking
Detectives probing the deaths of 39 people found dead in a lorry in Grays last week have named two suspects they urgently want to question. Ronan Hughes, 40, and his brother Christopher, 34, both from Armagh, Northern Ireland, are wanted on suspicion of manslaughter and human trafficking.
Ronan, who also goes by “Rowan,” and Christopher have ties to both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, say police.
Crucial Community Appeal
Detective Chief Superintendent Stuart Hooper, leading the investigation, said: “Finding and speaking to the Hughes brothers is crucial to our investigation.”
He added: “We believe they are currently in Northern Ireland but they also have links to the Irish Republic. If you know where they are or have any information, please contact my team immediately.”
Hooper urged the public not to underestimate the value of any tip, however small. “Support from the community is vital to bring those responsible to justice.”
