15-Year-Old Arrested Over Coventry Schoolboy’s Murder
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murdering fellow schoolboy Babacar Diagne, who was found stabbed to death in Coventry on Wednesday night.
Tragic Scene in Wood End
Babacar, just 15, was discovered collapsed and bleeding on grassland off Petitor Crescent, Wood End, at around 7pm. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem confirmed he was stabbed multiple times.
Police Crack Down on Suspects and Accomplices
- The arrested teen was detained in Canley alongside five others suspected of assisting the offender.
- All six remain in police custody as the investigation intensifies.
- Detectives believe Babacar was attacked by three black males who arrived on bikes, though the motive remains unclear.
Hunting for Justice: Police Appeal to the Public
Detective Chief Inspector Scott Griffiths said: “We have arrested one boy on suspicion of murder but believe two others were involved. Five others are held for helping suspects evade arrest. Anyone aiding these dangerous individuals will face arrest and jail.”
